and you came....

Today is a big day for me and hubby (glad to call him hubby and not anymore the boyfriend or the fiance)... I thought the wedding day was the biggest event for us this year, but just this morning, everything changed...

Been missing the red flag for the last couple of days... And as much as we don't wanna jump into conclusions, we waited for a while to finally do the test! :) Early this morning before I took a bath, I used the kit. I just set it aside on the sink counter while I finish my thing. I was controlling myself from taking a peek while I took a shower. And when I was finally done, lo and behold, two lines appeared in front of my very eyes (the 2nd line was kinda faint though but it was very visible). When I showed it to hubby, I saw in him some mixed emotions. Maybe because he just woke up that moment when I shook him to look at the kit. But I saw in his eyes, pure excitement! And then he finally screwed the moment, and blurted out "but the other line is still faded". So we decided that we'll take another test maybe the following day or later that day.

When I got in the office, I did sneak a bit to research about results of the kit. I saw some common statements that "if the 2nd line is there, it's definitely positive! faded or not faded..." and I asked a few of my officemates who had kids already, they said "you won't see any line if it's negative." (an officemate even showed me hers... she just recently took one. and she's been delayed for several MONTHS now but still there's no 2nd line) So when I showed them the result they were jumping, shrieking, hugging me, saying CONGRATULATIONS! I felt like walking in clouds when I heard that line... I remember hearing that during our wedding along with Best Wishes... but this time it felt different, I felt so ecstatically happy - overwhelmed with joy!

Later that afternoon, before my shift ended, I took again another test, upon hubby's demand - just to make sure.. but to our dismay, it was much faded than the first one. Haha! I could just imagine the look on hubby's face - so confused! Just to keep a peace of mind before we head home, we dropped by to Megamall and had a serum test done. Blood test could never go wrong, right? So we waited an hour or so, after we had our early dinner, we came back to get the result, and boom! POSITIVE! I think we were the happiest couple on the planet that moment. We couldn't erase the smiles on our faces as we drove home.

Thank you Lord for this gift of life. :)
